193 riders will compete with 275 horses at LOTTO Baborówko Horse Sale Show during the last weekend of September. The program includes three international classes: CCI4*-S, CCI3*-S and CCI2*-S as well as three national ones: CNC1*, CNC 100 and CNC 90. The event will also host the Polish National Championships in eventing for seniors and young riders, as well as the final leg of the Polish Eventing Cup in four age categories.
The most demanding class – the CCI4*-S will see 53 horse and rider combinations compete, including athletes from the Top 100 of the FEI rankings: Andreas Dibowski (GER) – a Baborówko regular, world champion and Olympian, as well as Maxime Livio (FRA) – number 38 of the FEI rankings. The Polish National Championships will also be played out during the class. That’s why the startlist will include the best polish eventers - Paweł Spisak will be defending the title aboard his number one – Banderas. Favourites also include vice-champions from 2019: Mateusz Kiempa and Joanna Pawlak. Moving up an age category, Małgorzata Cybulska wich Chenaro 2, Roksana Fortuniak with Gea S and Michał Hycki with Moonshine will compete at the senior level for the first time. This year we will see 16 riders fight for the title of the best senior eventer in Poland.
43 pairs from 12 countries will compete in the CCI3*-S, including Maj-Jonna Ziebell (GER) riding Chiquita – a mare from the Baborówko auction of 2018. The classification of this class will determine the Polish National Champions in the young riders category, with 11 athletes competing.
As many as 47 pairs from 10 countries will take part in the CCI2*-S, 21 of them Polish.
LOTTO Baborówko Horse Sale Show will also host the final leg of the Polish Eventing Cup 2020. Due to the epidemiological situation, 11 stages have been played out in 4 categories – juniors (with the CCI2*-S as the final), younger junior (CNC1*), youngster (CNC 90) and open (CCI2*-S).
Due to a large number of entries, LOTTO Baborówko Horse Sale Show will begin on Thursday with dressage tests for the CCI2*-S and CCI3*-S classes. Friday will see the rest of the dressage trials, Saturday is cross-country day, and showjumping and prizegiving ceremonies will take place on Sunday. The timetable is available here.
