The LOTTO brand, belonging to Totalizator Sportowy, has become the titular partner of the fifth edition of the international eventing show and sport horse auction LOTTO Baborówko Horse Sale Show. The event will take place from the 25th until the 27th of September 2020 at Baborówko Palace Equestrian Centre.
– We are extremely proud that Totalizator Sportowy, a patron of many sporting and cultural events, has decided to widen their involvement into the organization of the equestrian show in Baborówko. – says Henryk Święcicki jr, the director of the event. – The support of LOTTO for the equestrian sport is a huge chance for further development of the discipline in Poland and promotion among wider audiences. For us, a long-standing cooperation with Totalizator Sportowy is a great honour as well as a big commitment. – he summarizes.
- The history of Totalizator Sportowy’s involvement with equestrianism goes way back. Since 2008 the company is the patron of Służewiec Horse Racing Track and undertakes various actions in the field of supporting and investing into the equestrian sport. That is why LOTTO is once again involved – as a titular partner – in the organization of this year’s edition of the eventing show and sport horse auction LOTTO Baborówko Horse Sale Show. Last year we all experienced great emotions when the Polish eventing team qualified for the Tokyo Olympics, and it gave us a sense of involvement into the discipline. We are happy that our contribution will help promote Polish breeding and encourage new audiences to admire equestrian sports. – says Bogdan Pukowiec, member of Totalizator Sportowy board overseeing Służewiec Horse Racing Track.
The program of LOTTO Baborówko Horse Sale Show includes four international classes: CCI4*-S, CCI3*-S and CCI2*-S, as well as three national ones: CNC1*, CNC 100 and CNC 90. The show will also host the Polish eventing championships in the senior and young rider categories, as well as the Polish Eventing Cup.
Baborówko Horse Sale Show also includes an auction of sport horses with predispositions for eventing and showjumping. The bidding will take place on Saturday, the 26th of September, but it will be preceded by test rides, veterinary consultations and an official presentation of the catalogue horses.
Eventing is also often called the equestrian triathlon. Each horse and rider combination has to face three trials: dressage – a test of obedience and harmony; cross country, where bravery and stamina are most important; and jumping, which tests technique.
